Terms of service

By using the Lady Design website and placing an order, you agree to the following terms:

1. About the store

Lady Design is an abaya label by Emirati designer Amal Al Hammadi, based in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.

2. Products and prices

  • All prices are in UAE dirhams and include 5% VAT, excluding shipping fees.
  • Every abaya comes with a plain shayla in a standard size.
  • We take care to display product colours accurately, but shades may vary slightly depending on screen settings and lighting.
  • We reserve the right to change prices or discontinue any product without prior notice; this does not affect confirmed orders.

3. Orders and tailoring

  • Pieces are prepared and tailored after the order is confirmed, which takes 7 to 21 working days.
  • When you request a custom alteration (size, length, fabric or colour), we contact you to confirm the details before starting, and the customer is responsible for the accuracy of the measurements entered.
  • Please double-check your measurements before completing your order.
  • Urgent order: available for delivery within the UAE only, for a fee of AED 150, and prepared within 3 working days of order confirmation. An order is only processed as urgent once this fee is paid; you can select it on the abaya page or contact us on WhatsApp.
  • All website orders are delivered by shipping; in-store pickup is not available.
  • If an order is not collected within two months of being ready, it will be cancelled without a refund of the amount paid.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order in case of a pricing error or unavailable materials, in which case we will notify you and refund the full amount paid.

4. Cancellation and exchange

Orders cannot be cancelled or changed after payment is completed, and no refunds are issued. Ready-made pieces can be exchanged only, sizing issues must be reported within 5 days of receipt, and sizes are adjusted one time only. Full details are in our Refund & Exchange Policy.

5. Shipping and customs

  • The shipping fees and timings set out in our Shipping & Delivery Policy apply.
  • Lady Design is not responsible for any delays caused by the shipping company.
  • Lady Design is not responsible for any unexpected fees or delays resulting from customs procedures in the customer's country.

6. Intellectual property

All designs, images and content on the website belong to Lady Design and may not be copied or used commercially without written permission.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
